Senses Places is a ongoing mixed-reality participatory performance environment evolving since 2011 by a transdisciplinar collaboration amongst artists, developers and engineers. A networked artistic experimentation on somatic-technological dance through physical-biometric-telematic-virtual embodied interfacings. This embodied interactive experience proposes a critical creative and sensible environment for participants all over the world to connect towards the emergence new modes of sharing corporealities.
AvatarFest is the first presentation of the project outside of Second Life. Senses Places is a resident project at Odyssey Contemporary Art and Performance Simulator (Second Life).
We are very happy to expand into OpenSim and are working to soon develop more.
In this instance, the emphasis for the connections with our avatar and video simulations (through video streaming) and environment is somatic, turned to the networked kinaesthetic empathy, source for the creation/research/play of a more deep and diverse human experience. Senses Places happens between becoming physical-virtual corporealities and private/public environments gathered at AvatarFest.
Please check the calendar for the special performance on
FRIDAY 07.10.2017 at the Senses Places exhibit.
