Another returning exhibitor, Jamie Wright, an avatar of many grids, presents an autumn home and hearth scene with delicious food for some friendly prim people and avatars. You will all just want to move right in!
She saiys: “Fall Supper’s were a part of my childhood. I live in Canada in the middle of the prairies where home grown and home cooking is part of our being. Some fall suppers are family and friend gatherings, such as Thanksgiving dinner with relatives, neighbours and friends who become family. Some are larger community events. The community fall suppers are held in small towns across the prairies in big halls with music and the kindness of volunteers who cook the amazing harvest feasts, from food grown and raised on the land they call home. My Dad and I had a favourite small town fall supper we would go to by train. It was one of the best parts of the season.
The 2017 Avatarfest Fall supper brings you right to the farm house, connecting food, land and people. We build families and communities, such as Avatarfest, in our virtual lives too and those bonds become as dear to us as the people we love in the real world. So I welcome you all to meet with and bring your friends, sit at the table with your virtual family, and feel that connection here.
In a generation of increasingly busy family schedules, fall suppers honour the simple life. They remind us to celebrate the land, to cherish community, and to connect with loved ones.”
